Boom Irrigation - Double Rail
Ultimately, the goal of any nursery is to grow the largest quantity, highest quality crops, in the smallest amount of space with the most efficient use of resources. Growth is dramatically affected by the volume of water and the timing of application, making irrigation one of the most important factors within the horticultural industry. Get it right and a crops overall resistance to stress from insects, disease and weather can be improved, get it wrong and a crops survival can be put at risk.
The Urbinati Double Rail Boom Irrigation provides an incredibly even method of watering or applying chemicals or feed to a crop. The boom is pulled by a steel cable above the rails meaning that there is no chance of slippage and the electric panel on each bay provides the ability to program the booms in advance of when the user wants them to water. The recoil system for the pipe means that there is nothing hanging below the track, except the boom and the carriage that it is mounted to. A dosatron can be added along with a chemical tank and a second spray boom so that the crop can be sprayed through the boom as well as watered. This method allows the correct amount of chemical to be applied with a low volume of water.
